Bob George, Citizen Corps Program Manager and Marny McLee Citizen Corps Training and Outreach Coordinator presented a Disaster Preparedness Workshop to the Amputee Support Group of DE. The focus of the workshop is to Make a Plan, Make a Kit, Shelter in Place and Evacuation Procedures. Citizen Corps Disaster Kits, Brochures, It's a Disaster Books, and Division of Public Health - Non Typical Functional Needs Brochures were given out in class. The Founder of the group, Gloria Price, thought it was a "dynamic workshop presentation" and wants to coordinate a follow-up presentation in June for the members who could not attend.
