On March 5th 2008, Bob George Citizen Corps Program Manager and Marny McLee Citizen Corps Training and Outreach Coordinator gave a Disaster Preparedness Briefing on "Making a Disaster Plan" and "Making a Disaster Kit" to the Women's Club of Delaware in Browntown, Wilmington. Their mission is to support Girls Inc. 45 members attended the briefing which was very well received. They wanted to know how to prepare themselves and to help others if a disaster happened in their area. Citizen Corps Disaster Kits were given away during the briefing. Many members inquired about taking the full Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Course in the near future. The POC for the briefing was Andrea Outten, the organizer for the group.
